Deputy Zhyldyzd Egenberdieva voiced serious problems related to drug use and synthetic substances in the so-called "anti-cinema" establishments in Bishkek. At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh Committee on Labor, Health, Women's Affairs, and Social Policy, she noted that such places are becoming a refuge for students who, under the pretext of watching films, are actually using prohibited substances.
In response to these alarming signals, the deputy addressed representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs with a question about the possibility of closing such establishments. Nurbek Abdieyev, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, confirmed the existence of such facts, pointing out that the owners of establishments providing such conditions have already been held accountable.
He also promised to provide written information on the number of such establishments and the measures taken in response to these violations.
