At the event, which was held near the stela named "Manas," the head of the region, Tilek Tekebaev, the city mayor, as well as representatives of local institutions and enterprises were present.
In their congratulations, the leaders noted the 34th anniversary of the adoption of the state flag and the Day of Ak Kalpak. They emphasized that the flag is a symbol of a rich historical heritage and nomadic culture, as well as representing the country on the international stage as the main sign of statehood.
- The state flag of the Kyrgyz Republic was approved on March 3, 1992, by the decision of the first parliament after gaining independence.
- Changes to the flag's design were signed by President Sadyr Japarov on December 22, 2023.
