A capsule was laid for a new multifunctional cultural center in Bishkek, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy.
Previously, there was a cinema called "Chatyr-Kul" at this location. Since 2009, it had been used as the building for the state youth theater "Uchur." In 2025, after a fire, the building was declared emergency and was demolished this year.
After that, the facility was transferred to the balance of the Bishkek city administration, and funds were allocated for its construction.
The Minister of Culture, Mirbek Mambetaliev, expressed hope that the new center would become an important venue for theatrical performances, concerts, film screenings, as well as youth initiatives and educational programs.
