Andrey Malakhov cried when he saw singer Aya from the group "Gorod 312"

Hard times forced her to leave the stage for three years

Svetlana Nazarenko, better known as Aya, the lead singer of the group "Gorod 312," has opened up for the first time about what made her leave the stage for a full three years.

In the program "Privet, Andrey!" she shared how, after a series of illnesses, she suffered a massive stroke, which brought host Andrey Malakhov to tears.
Aya experienced four cases of COVID-19, after which a blood clot formed. This led to a stroke, and in critical condition, she was urgently taken to the hospital. Doctors were able to save her life, but the left side of her body remained paralyzed, requiring a long rehabilitation process. Even years later, she cannot fully control her left hand. On the air, she gratefully remembered everyone who supported her during difficult times.

“I had caregivers — those very nurses who took me from intensive care when I was completely paralyzed. <…> Thank you, my dear ones,” she noted.

In November 2025, Aya performed again with the group "Gorod 312" at the anniversary "Golden Gramophone" award, singing the song "Ostanus’."

The press service of the group published a video on their Telegram channel, stating that the lead singer had been absent from the group for two years and seven months.

In the spring of 2023, "Gorod 312" temporarily suspended their performances. Later, Svetlana Nazarenko announced a break in her creative activity, and a new vocalist, Diana Makarova, joined the group.

Little is known about Nazarenko's personal life. She has a daughter, Ekaterina, who graduated from MGIMO.

In the TV show "Avatar," Aya admitted that she had a close relationship with comedian Timur Batyrtdinov, although she did not specify whether this relationship was romantic. In one of her songs, she mentioned his name in the lines "You left me."

“I spoke the truth about what we had, about how he left me. Recently, we stopped communicating even on holidays. In the last three years, our communication has dwindled. We didn’t have a falling out, we just each had our own concerns,” she added.

Now Aya continues her rehabilitation: she stretches daily and uses a treadmill.

As she herself said, she can walk independently now, although sometimes she needs support.

The producer and members of "Gorod 312" did not abandon Aya in her difficult hour — they regularly visited her in the hospital and continue to cover her medical expenses.
