Kyrgyzstan does not intend to sue the European Union in case of sanctions

The Cabinet clarified the situation regarding recent publications

On the official website of the Cabinet of Ministers, a clarification was posted regarding the information that appeared in the Financial Times. The article mentioned the possibility of Bishkek filing a lawsuit against the European Union in the event of sanctions being imposed on the country.

The Cabinet's statement specifies that in an interview with the First Deputy Prime Minister Daniyar Amangeldiev, only a hypothetical scenario was discussed. The official position of the Kyrgyz Republic remains unchanged: it does not intend to and is not preparing to file a lawsuit against the EU.

The government emphasized that the actions of the republic fully comply with national legislation and international obligations. Issues related to export control and compliance with sanction regimes are discussed within the framework of dialogue and coordination with international partners.

Interaction with representatives of the European Union is focused on the transparency of procedures, information exchange, and strengthening regulatory mechanisms. The Cabinet noted that judicial and confrontational measures are not on the agenda for discussion.

The Cabinet of Ministers confirmed its commitment to constructive partnership with the EU and its intention to resolve emerging issues exclusively within the framework of legal and diplomatic processes.
