In the oncology department of the National Center for Maternal and Child Health, rooms for palliative care for children have been equipped. This was reported by the head of the department, Sultan Stambekov, on his Facebook profile.

According to Stambekov, with the support of the institution's management, two separate rooms have been allocated where medical staff have begun to provide specialized palliative care for children who require special attention, symptom control, and a dignified quality of life. He added that although such assistance was provided before, special isolated rooms have now been created for this purpose.

With the assistance of sponsors and the charitable foundation "We Believe in Miracles," these rooms have been additionally equipped with everything necessary for the comfort of both young patients and their parents.

"These are not just rooms - they are a safe space where a child can be without pain, close to family," noted the head of the pediatric oncology department.

“Palliative care is an important part of modern medicine. It includes pain and symptom management, psychological support, and respect for the dignity of each patient,” added Stambekov.
