According to information presented by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Oktay Urmambetov at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on science and youth affairs, there has been an 11% increase in crime among minors in 2025.
In 2024, 1,640 crimes were registered, while in 2025 their number rose to 1,814.
As a measure to combat the increase in crime, authorities plan to expand the network of video cameras for the "Safe City" and "Safe Country" initiatives, increasing their number to 20,000.
