According to Eric Moldokulov, the authorized representative of the Muftiyat for the Jalal-Abad region, currently about 200 residents of the region are performing the minor pilgrimage (Umrah) in Saudi Arabia.

He emphasized that the department is taking all necessary measures to ensure the safe return of the pilgrims to their homeland.

In light of the complex geopolitical situation in the Middle East, the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan has called on citizens to remain calm. The Muftiyat has promptly contacted travel companies organizing trips to obtain current information about the pilgrims. "Despite the current events, we have received confirmation that the situation in Mecca and Medina is calm. Currently, about 200 of our compatriots are there," Moldokulov reported.

It has been reported that the process of returning the pilgrims has already begun. From March 1 to 3, the arrival of 80 citizens is expected. Currently, about 40 people are already heading to the airports for their return to Kyrgyzstan.

Moldokulov also added that the remaining pilgrims and group leaders (Umra-bashchy) have been instructed to closely cooperate with the Muftiyat to promptly address any arising issues.

The Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan has urged all compatriots currently on the minor pilgrimage to exercise patience and maintain calm in light of the current situation in the region.
