Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic in Saudi Arabia: The situation is relatively calm

In case of a worsening situation, we are ready to take necessary actions

On his social media page, the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan in Saudi Arabia, Ulukbek Maripov, reported that the overall situation in the country is calm.

He emphasized that the consulate maintains regular contact with Kyrgyz citizens in the Middle Eastern countries.

A special headquarters has been established to ensure the safety of pilgrims, which conducts necessary activities.

"Recently, 35 of our citizens from Bahrain reached out to us. If the situation changes for the worse, we are ready to respond promptly," the ambassador added.

Regarding air travel, Maripov noted that airports in Saudi Arabia are operating in a stable manner. In some neighboring countries, airports are temporarily closed. Domestic flights continue to operate, and national airlines are conducting international flights, although the number of flights by foreign airlines has decreased.

"Overall, the situation in Saudi Arabia remains relatively stable. We maintain close ties with local authorities, and in case of changes, we will promptly inform citizens and take appropriate measures," he concluded.
