Salymbekov demanded the customs service to fulfill the president's instruction

A discussion has erupted in parliament regarding the situation with the export of light industry products

At a meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, which deals with issues of finance, budget, entrepreneurship, and competition development, deputy Jumabek Salymbekov raised an important issue concerning the implementation of the president's latest directive regarding support for the light industry within the framework of the Customs Union.

Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Service Elnura Mambetjunusheva reported that an algorithm for interaction with the Federal Customs Service of Russia was developed in accordance with the president's instructions. She noted that liaison officers have already been appointed between the parties and contact information about the goods at the border has been exchanged. The document concerning these issues is currently in the final stage of preparation and will soon be signed.

According to her, the Russian side is obliged to provide complete information about the reasons for delays and possible violations.

In response to a question about the current situation at the Kazakhstan-Russia border, Mambetjunusheva noted that currently six vehicles are undergoing examination and have been checked for a long time. This is related to the verification of product labeling and possible doubts regarding its origin.

However, Salymbekov expressed dissatisfaction with the response received. According to him, the problem with traffic jams still persists, and no vehicle with Kyrgyz products can cross the border. The deputy insisted on the precise and complete implementation of the presidential instruction, emphasizing that prolonged checks lead to losses, bankruptcies, and the closure of light industry enterprises.
