In Kyrgyzstan, heads of security and law enforcement agencies held an emergency meeting
During the discussion, emphasis was placed on the importance of cooperation between government agencies, especially in the context of Kyrgyz citizens who found themselves in the conflict zone. Orozbekov stressed the need to urgently take measures to ensure the safety of compatriots and their return to their homeland. He also instructed to organize round-the-clock monitoring of the situation in the Middle East until the situation stabilizes.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs was instructed to clarify the number and location of Kyrgyz citizens in risky areas, as well as to work out options for their temporary accommodation in safe places and, if necessary, to organize emergency evacuation.
Additionally, it was noted that the operation of hotlines organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and foreign institutions should be continuous to provide timely assistance and consultations to citizens.
It should be reminded that a new large-scale war has erupted in the Middle East: the USA and Israel have conducted extensive attacks on Iranian territory. In response, Tehran launched rockets at Israel and American bases in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and the UAE. A state of emergency has been declared in the region, several countries have closed their airspace, and the world's largest airport in Dubai has suspended operations, indicating the onset of a full-scale military conflict. This has also affected citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, as the closure of airspace and attacks on key airports have led to mass cancellations of flights from Bishkek to popular destinations, leaving hundreds of passengers without the opportunity to depart or return home.
