February 2026 in Bishkek turned out to be the warmest in the entire history of meteorological observations
Previously, the warmest February was considered to be in 2021, with an average temperature of +3.9 degrees.
This year's average monthly temperature was +6 degrees, exceeding the norm by 6.5 degrees.
On February 8, the lowest temperature was recorded at −5.2 degrees, while February 19 turned out to be the warmest day, with thermometers showing +22.9 degrees.
Throughout the month, several daily temperature records were also broken.
The highest temperatures were recorded on February 5 — +18.4 degrees, February 19 — +22.9 degrees, and February 20 — +19.6 degrees.
However, the absolute daily record for February remained unchanged. It was set on February 25, 2016, when the average daily temperature reached +25.4 degrees.
