In light of the deteriorating situation in the Middle East, Adilet Orozbekov, Secretary of the Security Council of Kyrgyzstan, held an emergency meeting with representatives of law enforcement agencies and other responsible departments.

During the meeting, important aspects of cooperation between government institutions were discussed, including an analysis of the situation of Kyrgyz citizens who remain in active combat zones. Orozbekov emphasized the need for immediate actions to protect these citizens and organize their return to their homeland.

He also instructed that there should be round-the-clock monitoring of the situation in the Middle East until the situation stabilizes.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan was tasked with clarifying the exact locations of Kyrgyz citizens and how many are at risk of finding themselves in dangerous situations. It is also necessary to consider issues of their temporary shelter in safe places and, if necessary, organize emergency evacuation from the conflict zone.

Special attention will be given to ensuring the uninterrupted operation of hotlines based at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in embassies, so that citizens can receive emergency assistance and consultations.

“Our duty is to ensure the safety of citizens both in combat zones and at airports that may be closed. This is our direct responsibility,” emphasized Secretary Adilet Orozbekov.
