At a press conference, the director of the consular department, Seitek Jumakadyrov, stated that pilgrims currently in Saudi Arabia for Umrah have not expressed any concerns regarding the need for evacuation.

According to him, there are about 6,000 citizens of Kyrgyzstan in Saudi Arabia at the moment, most of whom are pilgrims.

“All pilgrims are accommodated and are under the supervision of the companies that organized their trips,” he noted.

As of March 2, the total number of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Middle East is approximately 22,000, mainly in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Currently, there are no reported casualties or individuals left homeless among them.

The conflict between Israel and the U.S. on one side and Iran on the other escalated on February 28, when large-scale air and missile attacks began on Iranian cities and military facilities. In response, Tehran struck Israel and American bases in several countries in the region. U.S. President Donald Trump announced the start of the military operation "Epic Fury" following the initial attacks.

As a result of the conflict, the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed, which also led to the deaths of several high-ranking Iranian officials.

The escalation of the conflict in the Middle East continues, with missile strikes occurring from both sides targeting designated objectives. The closure of airspace in the conflict zone has left tens of thousands of people in a difficult situation.
