In Kyrgyzstan, educational books worth over 856 million soms were published in 2025

Over this year, more than 4 million educational materials have been published.

At a meeting of the committee on science, education, innovative development, and information technologies of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Minister of Education Nadira Jusupbekova reported that 856 million 548 thousand soms were allocated for printing educational books in 2025.

She noted that in 2020, only 120 million soms were allocated for the same purpose, while in 2025, the amount increased to 856 million 548 thousand soms.

If in 2020 more than 330 thousand copies of textbooks were printed, then in 2025 this figure increased to 4 million 85 thousand 450 copies of educational materials.

The level of textbook provision in schools is 84.8 percent.

In addition, Jusupbekova emphasized that from 2017 to 2024, more than 3 million textbooks were published, and in 2025 alone, Kyrgyzstan printed 4 million 85 thousand 450 copies.

Speaking about the prevention of violence in educational institutions, the deputy minister reported that anonymous boxes for appeals had previously been installed in schools, but there was a need for their modernization.

“We have implemented a new approach: the application 'Don't be afraid, report' has been added to the 'E-Kündölük' system. Currently, more than 25 thousand appeals have been received. The main goal of this application is to prevent violence. Thanks to several signals, it was possible to prevent offenses, and positive results have been achieved in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs,” she added.
