Zharamazan. In Bishkek, control over the presence of teenagers on the streets in the evening will be strengthened.
The city authorities have decided to strengthen control over teenagers in public places during the evening hours. This decision was prompted by the increasing cases of minors being on the streets and in entertainment venues without adult supervision during Ramadan, including asking for money through QR codes.
“Our culture and traditions must be respected; however, it is unacceptable for children to be on the streets at night without adult supervision. We will fine cafes, restaurants, and other establishments that allow this,” emphasized Deputy Mayor Victoria Mozgacheva at a recent meeting.
District state administrations have been instructed to conduct joint raids with juvenile inspection services and patrol police.
For reference, Ramadan is celebrated after the completion of fasting and the last evening prayer.
