As a result of the fight against organized crime, the state has recovered 38 billion soms in damages

The President believes that the rule of law has been restored in the country.


Sadyr Japarov, the President of Kyrgyzstan, announced that more than 300 members of organized criminal groups have been held criminally liable. This statement was made at a republican meeting.

He also noted that thanks to the measures taken, the state managed to recover more than 38 billion soms as compensation for damages.

“We have not only destroyed individual criminal groups but also dismantled an entire system that had supported shadow influence for many years. We have restored the rule of law in the country,” the president added.

Additionally, Japarov mentioned significant digital transformation that has taken place in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Modern video surveillance systems have been installed across the country, ensuring round-the-clock monitoring.

As a result, registered crimes have decreased by 73 percent. In areas where cameras are installed, the number of serious offenses has dropped by 68 percent.
