
Caleb Kopytin, a 16-year-old football player from the USA, is now part of the "Ilbirs" club after moving to Kyrgyzstan. This information was provided by the club's press service and published on the Kyrgyz Football website.
Previously, Kopytin played in friendly matches for the Kyrgyzstan U-17 junior national team, where he managed to score a goal. In order to participate in official matches of the national championship, he obtained Kyrgyz citizenship and changed his sports nationality, which is allowed by FIFA rules for descendants of citizens of this country.
The "Ilbirs" club is considered the main base for training players for the Kyrgyzstan junior national team. In the past, athletes with Kyrgyz roots born abroad, such as Kimi and Kaya Merkov, Alexander Mishchenko, Edgar Bernhardt, and others, have represented the national team.
