"Don't skimp on children, advises the doctor. What should school uniforms be like?"
She pointed out that unified standards for school uniforms in Kyrgyzstan were established back in 2015.
According to her, the uniform should be of a business and secular style. "In Kyrgyzstan, as a secular state, the use of religious symbols or attributes of informal associations is unacceptable. Currently, students prefer to wear ripped jeans and loose hoodies; however, such items are not suitable for educational institutions," she added. Despite the fact that many parents and students advocate for a more relaxed style, a number of educational institutions have introduced strict requirements for the appearance of their students.
Kushubakova emphasized that clothing can significantly influence self-esteem, confidence, and overall well-being for both children and adults.

"Although the state does not force the wearing of a specific style of clothing, the rule 'white top, dark bottom' should be adhered to," the doctor noted. The main problem lies in the quality of fabrics, as parents often choose cheaper options. "Cheapness often means a high percentage of synthetic fibers and low content of natural materials. We recommend that all clothing for children up to size 32 be made from natural fabrics. Yes, they may be more expensive, but children's health is paramount," she added.
The sanitary doctor also emphasized the importance of comfort: "A uniform that breathes and absorbs moisture well helps children feel comfortable and focused on their studies." She warned that uncomfortable clothing can distract children from lessons, causing sweating and irritation. Some synthetic fabrics can even provoke allergic reactions, so it is better to prefer natural materials. Moreover, the choice of school uniforms in the market is quite wide, and it is important to select clothing that fits properly. Often, parents buy clothes that are too big, which is incorrect. One should not skimp on children," Kushubakova concluded.
Earlier, deputy Dastan Bekeshev expressed support for abandoning strict uniforms and suits in educational institutions.
Nevertheless, the Ministry of Education emphasized that a classic style of clothing contributes to the formation of discipline and reduces social differences among students.
