As an example, Nurzhamal Torobekova cited the practice of neighboring Uzbekistan, where all couples under 50 years old are required to undergo a medical examination before marriage registration. Without this condition, documents will not be accepted at the registry office. The procedure is free of charge.
The examination includes:
- general blood test, glucose level, HIV and syphilis tests;
- ultrasound, ECG, fluorography;
- examinations by a cardiologist, endocrinologist, rheumatologist, gynecologist (for women), and urologist (for men);
- visits to specialized dispensaries: psychoneurological, narcological, dermatovenereological, and tuberculosis.
A certificate of the medical examination is valid for three months: if the documents are not submitted to the registry office within this period, the examination will need to be repeated.
