Former deputy Shailoobek Atazov accused former speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu of 'betrayal'

Atazov claims that the former speaker did not protect over 20 deputies who were under threat.

On his Facebook page, former deputy Shailoobek Atazov made a statement criticizing the former speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, accusing him of "betrayal."

Atazov noted that from 2023 to 2024, more than 20 deputies found themselves under threat, and Turgunbek uulu, while holding the position of speaker, took no steps to protect them.

According to Atazov, with Turgunbek uulu's arrival in parliament, "intrigues" began.

He also claims that the former speaker created conflicts out of thin air, discussing other people and appealing to his superiors to remove those who did not obey him.

Furthermore, Atazov revealed that Turgunbek uulu summoned deputies to his office and threatened them with criminal cases, citing his own case as an example.

In conclusion of his post, Atazov pointed out that when Turgunbek uulu left the position of speaker, he did not express gratitude to those who supported his candidacy, and from the podium stated: "Do not associate me with one or two people," which Atazov interpreted as betrayal.
