SkyDrive recently conducted tests of its flying car in Tokyo.
According to information from the official website, the SKYDRIVE SD-05 model participated in the testing. This vehicle has already been used in demonstration flights at exhibitions, including the Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025 and at the vertiport in Osaka.

During the demonstration flight, the ability to move from the confined space of the Tokyo Big Sight exhibition complex to the sea was showcased. "We demonstrated that safe takeoffs and landings can be carried out not only on building rooftops but also in narrow vertiports in urban conditions, as well as in locations where it is difficult to organize large runways," company representatives noted.

Furthermore, SkyDrive emphasizes that vertiports for such flying vehicles can be located not only on rooftops but also in the parking lots of large shopping centers or squares in front of train stations. This, according to the company, will help make air travel more accessible and popular in everyday life.

The demonstration flight lasted about 3.5 minutes, during which the vehicle covered 150 meters at a height of 13 meters. Control was conducted in both automatic and remote modes, with no pilot on board.
