North Korea has confirmed its intentions to expand its nuclear arsenal.
The head of the DPRK, Kim Jong Un, stated: “Our party is determined to further develop and strengthen the country’s nuclear energy, as well as fully utilize the status of a nuclear state. We will focus on increasing the quantity of nuclear weapons and expanding their means.”

He added that among North Korea's plans are the creation of more powerful intercontinental ballistic missiles, including those that can be launched underwater, as well as the development of systems using artificial intelligence, drones, and weapons capable of attacking satellites.

Earlier, Kim Jong Un appointed his 13-year-old daughter, Kim Ju Ae, as the curator of the country's missile program, indicating her possible future role as a successor.
