In Kyrgyzstan, a fundraiser has been announced for equipment for children with SMA

There are over 40 children in the country diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy.

An initiative called “SMA Kyrgyzstan” has been launched in Kyrgyzstan, organized by the “Unity of Opportunities” foundation, as reported by the organization itself.

According to the foundation's information, there are more than 40 children suffering from spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) in the country. These children receive modern treatment, including the drug Rizdiplam, thanks to the assistance of doctors and government support.

However, as emphasized in the statement, medication alone is not enough: “Every child requires respiratory support devices, cough assist machines, standers, and other rehabilitation equipment daily. Without these tools, therapy cannot be effective,” the statement reads.

In light of the above, the foundation has announced a fundraising campaign to acquire the necessary equipment for children across the country. The organization promises that the entire process of collecting and distributing equipment will be conducted with complete transparency.
