In the Talas Region, a raid "Re-equipment" is underway: what is the police checking?
According to information provided by the Traffic Police Department of the region, the main goal of these activities is to identify vehicles with illegally installed equipment and technical modifications that may threaten road safety.
During the raids, inspectors record cases of the installation of additional lighting devices without the necessary permits, the use of special signals, illegal window tinting, as well as the operation of unregistered gas equipment (GBO).
According to current legislation, such technical changes are subject to an administrative fine of 5,500 soms.
In addition to fines, police officers are taking additional measures:
- vehicles are placed in specialized impound lots.
- the vehicle remains under arrest until the owner rectifies all identified violations (removal of illegal equipment or tinting).
During the raid activities, a "Mercedes-Benz" vehicle was stopped. The driver was issued a protocol for illegal tinting of the front side windows, with a fine amounting to 20,000 soms.
The Traffic Police Department of the Talas region reminds drivers of the necessity to strictly adhere to technical regulations and emphasizes that any changes to the vehicle's design must be officially registered with the relevant authorities.
