In the Suzak District, six families will be forcibly evicted from risk zones by court order.
As Shekenov noted, this measure is forced and aimed at protecting the lives of citizens, preventing possible emergencies, and reducing risks in areas prone to natural disasters. "With the arrival of spring, dangerous natural processes such as landslides and rockfalls become more active. In this regard, the emergency services are working in an enhanced mode to ensure the safety of the population. We are conducting large-scale preventive measures," he added.
During the preventive actions, the emergency services accomplished the following tasks:
- Official notifications about the need to relocate were handed to 648 families living in hazardous areas.
- More than 100 cases against households that do not comply with safety requirements have been prepared by local authorities and sent to court.
- Court proceedings against six families have been completed, and the decisions have already come into effect.
The issue of living in areas prone to natural disasters remains relevant for the region. According to the Emergency Situations Department, there are currently 1,009 families still living in hazardous zones of the Jalal-Abad region, and work on their phased resettlement to safe areas continues.
