A running track for young athletes has been built in the Moscow district
This was reported by the head of the Narzan rural administration, Iskender Öskömbayev.
According to him, the district center - the village of Belovodskoye is located in the Narzan rural district. The "Urozhay" sports complex, built during the Soviet era and long left unattended, was transferred to the balance of the rural administration in 2022.
“Previously, the 'Urozhay' sports complex was under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Culture. After many years of efforts initiated by the district akim, it was transferred to the balance of the rural administration in 2022. By that time, the circular stands for spectators were destroyed, the seats were broken, and the facility was in an unusable state. When the responsibility was handed over to the rural administration, we took the repair and restoration work into our own hands. We cleared the area, put everything in order, built a running track, installed sports equipment, and laid asphalt. This created comfortable conditions for young sports enthusiasts.
Now the next step is the repair of the buildings funded by a stimulating grant. We are making every effort to carry out this work because our main duty is to take care of the health of the population by conducting various sports events,” said I. Öskömbayev.
He also noted specific problematic issues that require understanding and support from the residents.
“People are right to say: ‘While you bring the old in order, you will wear yourself out.’ It is impossible to restore a destroyed and abandoned stadium in 1-2 months — it takes time. Unfortunately, various discussions and assessments sometimes arise around the work, including based on photos and videos. If there is a desire to support the development of sports, any help and participation would be beneficial. The main thing is to unite and work together for the people and future generations,” he added.
