Local activist and district resident Mirbek Maniyasov shared this snapshot from his archive, explaining its significance.
“At that time, there was only one photo studio in Sokuluk for the entire district. It was there that a creative group gathered for a group photo after the district singing competition,” Maniyasov explained.
This photo features future deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Edyta Taygaraeva, who was only 4 years old at the time. After the competition, she was taken to the photo studio, where she posed with the event participants.
The photograph shows the creative group that participated in the competitions. After the event, they decided to take a group photo in the only photo studio in the district,” the activist added.
Maniyasov also noted some details:
“Next to little Edyta is her grandmother, as well as my mother. The man with the accordion depicted in the photo worked as a veterinarian in the village for a long time. Next to him is Sadyr Kolkhobekovich, who was then the head of the ayil okmotu and later became the head of the Sokuluk district state administration. Edyta actively participated in various competitions and events from an early age,” he clarified.
