According to local residents, Ishmatov Street, which leads to the village of Toloykon, is a key transport artery of the city, used daily by hundreds of people. However, it has now become a dangerous zone, threatening the lives of citizens.
Osh residents state, "The road has not been repaired since the Soviet Union. In some places, there is no asphalt at all. There are no sidewalks or drainage ditches. In dry weather, it is impossible to breathe due to the dust, and in the rain, it turns into a muddy and impassable road. Minibuses have stopped operating here, as the transport cannot withstand such conditions. People are forced to walk long distances."
The greatest concern for residents is the safety of their children.
They report, "The lack of playgrounds forces children to play right on the road, where cars are constantly moving. Every day there is a risk of tragedy," they express their outrage.
Moreover, according to local residents, the increased flow of heavy trucks exacerbates the situation. These heavy vehicles cause irreparable damage to the road surface, creating strong vibrations that lead to cracks in homes. Residents, including the elderly and children, are breathing in the dust that is raised into the air.
The townspeople emphasize that this dissatisfaction is growing. "People are on the brink of despair. We are ready to block the road, as the passage of heavy trucks has increased, and the authorities are not responding to our requests. We are not asking for the impossible - we need safe roads, sidewalks, and normal living conditions," they state.
Residents of Ishmatov Street are urging the authorities of Osh to take action:
- to carry out a major repair of Ishmatov Street;
- to restrict the movement of heavy trucks;
- to ensure the safety of children and pedestrians;
- to create acceptable living conditions for people.
