In Bishkek, police returned a lost bag containing 1 million soms to its owner
Employees of the Lenin District Department of Internal Affairs in Bishkek returned a lost bag containing documents and a significant amount of money — nearly 1 million soms. All funds and papers were returned to the owner intact, as reported by the press service of the law enforcement agencies.

According to the information, on February 14, the assistant on duty of the SOF GOM No. 1, Bolotbek uulu Elaman, and inspector Toktosun uulu Erkebek, a police lieutenant colonel, were heading to their post after a briefing. At the intersection of Moscow and Fuchik streets, they noticed a black bag left by the curb.

Upon checking the find, the officers discovered that it contained documents and a bundle of cash; however, they did not open the contents. Upon returning to the police station, they identified the owner through the documents and contacted him.

It turned out that the man hadn’t even noticed that he had lost his bag. At the police station, he counted the money, and nearly 1 million soms was in perfect order, as were all the documents.

Subsequently, the citizen A.T. expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Lenin District Department of Internal Affairs and requested that the officers be recognized for their honesty. In response, the leadership decided to award Bolotbek uulu Elaman and Toktosun uulu Erkebek with letters of appreciation.

The department emphasized that such actions are a vivid example of loyalty to duty and principledness.
