Local residents are concerned that not only old but also young, healthy trees are being cut down.
“On Shamsin Street, where the 'Danchik' store is located, strong pines were cut down, not just poplars. We also remember how trees were cut down near the bus station, and they promised to create a park, but nothing has been done so far,” residents shared their concerns.
Some citizens express the opinion that the tree felling is related to plans for expanding the road that runs from Pioneer Street to Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya Street.
So far, the city administration has not provided an official comment on this issue.
