- We have been without electricity for a day. The energy technician from the Eastern RES reported that the transformer is not under their control and suggested that we purchase parts for its repair. It has also become known that the transformer was flooded with water. This is negligence and puts us in a dangerous position. The RES could have connected us to alternative sources, but that did not happen, and we are freezing at a temperature of -5 °C.More than 50 people live in our building, including elderly people and children. We cannot even have a cup of tea or prepare food. Electricity is the only source of heat, which is now turned off.

- The Eastern RES ignores our appeals. It is not summer now; we can't even warm ourselves with tea. Long waits only drain our mobile phone balance. Doesn’t the RES care about us, the elderly and small children?Response from the Bishkek PES
The press service of the Bishkek Electric Networks Enterprise reported to Kaktus.media that an operational team visited the incident site twice. However, the transformer substation and cable lines are not on the enterprise's balance sheet and are not its responsibility.“During the inspection, flooding of the transformer equipment and the presence of jumpers in the cable line were established. Today, specialists went out again to monitor the situation. To prevent further problems and considering the adverse weather conditions, the staff suggested carrying out repair work to restore electricity supply. However, the necessary spare parts are not available in stock. Material resources are accounted for as circulating and are issued only according to invoices within the framework of balance ownership,” the press service added.
The Bishkek Electric Networks Enterprise is ready to provide assistance within its competence to promptly resolve the issue that has arisen.
