Students will become public assistants to deputies. A Youth Council has been established in the Housing Committee.
In his speech, Muratbekov shared memories of his studies in China, where he interacted with Chinese Kyrgyz. According to him, the dreams of Kyrgyz living abroad are often connected to visiting their historical homeland, Issyk-Kul and Sulayman-Too.
The deputy also reminded everyone of the important historical period when Kyrgyzstan became independent thanks to the efforts of its founders. "We must use the opportunities left to us by our ancestors to create a worthy future," he emphasized.
However, Muratbekov pointed out the lack of an independent body that deals with youth policy in the country. He cited examples from neighboring states: "In Uzbekistan, there is an Agency for Youth Affairs, in Kazakhstan - a committee, and in Russia - a federal agency. In Kyrgyzstan, only seven people work in the Ministry of Culture, which is responsible for youth policy."
At a recent meeting with the country's president, support for youth initiatives was expressed. "We proposed to create a Youth Affairs Council under the Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, and we thank Marlen Mamataliyev for supporting this idea. The resolution has already been adopted," Muratbekov reported.
The newly established Council will serve as a platform for interaction between deputies and the youth of Kyrgyzstan. It will include both deputies and young activists, doctors, and teachers. "We will meet quarterly to discuss current issues and problems facing the youth," he added.
The deputy also noted that Uzbekistan has a youth parliament, where active students are selected to become assistants to deputies. "We plan to select 90 young people from across the country who will undergo training and work with you as public assistants," Muratbekov stated.
In addition, the Youth Affairs Council will operate on a voluntary basis, and young activists are ready to develop projects to attract funding and grants from international organizations.
