In Bishkek, the 70th anniversary of the patriarch of Kyrgyz diplomacy Muratbek Imanaliev was celebrated
At the round table titled "Muratbek Imanaliev: Professional Path and Contribution to the Development of the SCO," representatives of the diplomatic corps, scholars, veterans of foreign service, and the jubilar's family gathered.
In his video address, Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev characterized Imanaliev as the "patriarch of Kyrgyz diplomacy," who in 1991 created the first professional team of the foreign policy agency of independent Kyrgyzstan.
Deputy Minister Almaz Imangaziev noted that under Muratbek Imanaliev's leadership, Kyrgyzstan achieved international recognition and became a member of the UN. The rector of the Diplomatic Academy, Ruslan Rahimov, emphasized that the jubilar made a significant contribution to the development of the national diplomatic school.
Congratulations were also expressed by the heads of international organizations: the secretaries-general of the SCO, Nurlan Ermekbaev, CSTO, Taalatbek Masadykov, and CIS, Sergey Lebedev, who highlighted the importance of Imanaliev's long-standing work in the field of regional cooperation.
The dean of the diplomatic corps, the ambassador of Tajikistan to Kyrgyzstan, Naziramad Alizoda, also joined in the congratulations.
One of the key moments of the event was the presentation of the named scholarship of Muratbek Imanaliev to students studying international relations. Participants had the opportunity to view a photo exhibition showcasing important stages of his career, including his work as Minister of Foreign Affairs and his leadership of the SCO.
Participants of the meeting noted that Muratbek Imanaliev remains one of the most influential figures in the history of Kyrgyz diplomacy, and his experience continues to influence the development of the country's foreign policy.
