One school is being transitioned to online learning, while the other is being moved to a different educational organization
In the city of Osh, a decision was made to demolish the educational institutions named after M. Lomonosov and Salizhan Zhigitov. In this regard, students from one of the schools have been transferred to distance learning, according to information provided by the city’s education department.
About 2000 students are enrolled at the secondary school named after S. Zhigitov. The online format will continue until the start of the summer holidays, after which, on September 1, classes are expected to resume in the usual mode, as the completion of the new building is planned by that time.
As for the school named after Lomonosov, which is celebrating its centenary this year, its students have been transferred to another available general education organization.
In 2026, the construction of 10 new schools is planned in Osh.
