According to the deputy, the current rules create difficulties for former citizens of Kyrgyzstan.
At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Mahabat Mavlyanova noted that a new rule regarding the stay of foreign citizens in Kyrgyzstan was introduced this year.
According to this resolution, foreigners can stay in the country for only one month, after which they are required to leave and can only re-enter after two months.
The deputy emphasized that such conditions pose significant challenges for individuals who were former citizens of Kyrgyzstan and have become citizens of other countries.
“Many of them have relatives in Kyrgyzstan, and the rule of ‘one month of stay and a two-month entry ban’ creates serious inconveniences. There are situations where they need to urgently return, for example, due to the illness of loved ones or other urgent circumstances, but the established restriction hinders this,” she added.
In light of the above, Mavlyanova proposed to consider the possibility of changing the rules so that former citizens of Kyrgyzstan could travel in and out of the country without hindrance.
