Digital transformations continue in the country
The Social Fund of Kyrgyzstan has announced the launch of automatic pension payments through the "Tunduk" system.
The agency emphasized that the new automated system is already fully operational. All pensioners receiving payments through banks and post offices have now been transitioned to an electronic format 100%. Thanks to integration with 17 government agencies, the "Tunduk" system has significantly reduced bureaucratic procedures and eliminated the need for multiple certificates.
This year, the second phase of reforms has begun, which will last until 2045 and will bring a number of changes.
One of the key innovations will be the automatic assignment of pensions upon reaching retirement age. This proactive service will come into effect on July 1, 2026. A month before reaching retirement age, data will be automatically collected from government information systems, allowing for pension assignment without the need for personal visits by citizens.
The new system involves the integration of the Social Fund with the information systems of other government bodies, which will enable the collection of necessary data about citizens (including work experience and personal data) in electronic format. If the information is complete and accurate, the pension will be calculated automatically, and a notification of the assignment will be sent through the "Tunduk" app. This notification will offer the option to choose a bank for opening an account, with banking details being processed automatically, without citizen involvement.
The proactive approach will also extend to the assignment of disability pensions. This system aims to save citizens' time, reduce the need for document collection, minimize human error, and enhance transparency and efficiency in the provision of public services.
