Important message for citizens from the State Tax Service of the Kyrgyz Republic: when settling bills in restaurants and cafes, a fiscal receipt must be issued through a cash register (KKM). This was reported by the press service of the STS.

Often, instead of a genuine fiscal receipt, visitors are provided with so-called pre-checks, which may either be documents listing the ordered dishes created in the establishment's accounting program or screenshots with information about the order. These documents are not official fiscal receipts, do not confirm the fact of payment, and are not registered in the tax system. The STS notes that such actions may indicate attempts to conceal actual income and evade tax payments.

When settling the bill, the waiter or cashier is required to:

- announce the order amount;

- clarify the payment method;

- provide a paper fiscal receipt from the KKM.

Establishments participating in the pilot program for implementing fiscal software must conduct transactions using this software and carry out online data transmission. Those enterprises that do not participate in the project are required to use registered cash registers. Thus, the choice depends on the mode of operation: either fiscal software with online data transmission or standard KKM.

A fiscal receipt is the only document that confirms the registration of payment in the tax system, ensures tax revenue to the budget, and protects consumer rights.

The tax service strongly urges citizens to demand fiscal receipts when settling bills in cafes and restaurants to avoid potential risks and ensure transparency in financial transactions.
