The EEC Council approved the draft agreement in the field of intellectual property
In particular, the participants discussed a draft agreement concerning coordinated measures to combat violations of intellectual property rights on the internet.
According to the data presented, the document outlines measures aimed at protecting intellectual property rights online. This includes the possibility of restricting access to information resources where protected objects are unlawfully used, based on a court order issued in the country where the rights of the rights holder were violated.
Furthermore, the draft agreement imposes obligations on owners of internet resources and information intermediaries. They are required, based on the relevant court decision, to take measures to restrict access to resources where intellectual property rights are violated.
The agreement also provides for mutual recognition of documents regarding academic titles for labor migrants, which will allow them to engage in professional activities in the host country in accordance with the titles conferred.
