According to the agency's information, veterinary control of the birds was carried out at the international airport of Krasnoyarsk, which serves as a border crossing point into Russia. Currently, the parrots are placed in a special facility where they will undergo diagnostic examinations and preventive measures.
It is specified that the budgerigars, cockatiels, and lovebirds that arrived are intended for an individual entrepreneur engaged in their breeding and maintenance.
In 2024, a total of 14,365 decorative birds were imported from Kyrgyzstan to Krasnoyarsk, among which parrots predominated.
