Kyias Moldokasymov, a well-known historian, shared alarming news on social media that his garden, covering about 6 hectares in the Alamedin district, was under threat of destruction due to the planned construction of a bypass road.
He noted that the work was set to begin without prior notification and the necessary project documents.
The situation attracted public attention after a report aired on one of the television channels. As Moldokasymov himself recounted, after this, the Mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, along with a working group, visited the site and proposed an alternative option — to lay the road in a way that would avoid destroying the garden.

The historian expressed his shock at the potential loss of the land he has cultivated for many years. He emphasized that the garden not only has economic significance but also, according to special calculations, produces a significant amount of oxygen annually and serves as an example of the development of a green economy in Bishkek.
Fortunately, the situation was resolved positively, and the historian will be able to continue caring for his garden.
