The Minister of Energy explained how much electricity tariffs will increase
According to him, during the current heating season, the Toktogul reservoir has filled to 94%, which corresponds to 9.4 billion cubic meters of water. The ministry plans to complete the heating season with a volume of water at 6.8 billion cubic meters.
Ibraev also noted that electricity losses are expected to be at 10.6% in 2025, while in 2022 this figure was 12.1%. Kyrgyzstan has registered 1.6 million subscribers, of which 923.1 thousand use automated electricity metering systems.
According to the plan, on May 1, the electricity tariff will increase by 27 tyiyn. In the following years, the expected increases are as follows: in 2027 — by 33 tyiyn, in 2028 — by 39 tyiyn, in 2029 — by 47 tyiyn, and in 2030 — by 57 tyiyn. By that time, the tariff should reach the level of cost price, the minister added.
