The deputy announced a reduction in quotas for the treatment of Kyrgyz citizens in Turkey
In 2025, only 48 Kyrgyz citizens will receive treatment
At a meeting of the committee on international affairs, defense, and migration, Gulya Kozhokulova, a member of parliament, raised the issue of reducing quotas for the treatment of Kyrgyz citizens in Turkey.
The committee reviewed the report on the work of the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Turkey for the years 2024–2025, presented by Ruslan Kazakbaev, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador.
During the discussion, Kozhokulova emphasized the need to increase quotas for free treatment of Kyrgyz citizens in Turkish medical institutions under the existing Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Health.
She noted that the number of medical quotas is significantly decreasing. “For instance, if in 2021, 30 citizens received treatment in Turkey, and in 2024 this number rose to 86, then in 2025 it will only be 48 people,” the deputy added, calling for increased action from the diplomatic representation.
