As reported by the Bishkek city hall, the 'waffle' markings at intersections do not attract the attention of either drivers or the 'Safe City' system cameras.
In this regard, local authorities have concluded that this method of traffic regulation is ineffective and decided to abandon it.
It is worth noting that such markings were introduced in Bishkek starting in 2024.
