In KR, 100 rural administrations will receive $100,000 each in grants to improve pasture conditions
There are 230 ayil okmotu operating in the republic, of which 100 were selected based on the results of a competition to participate in the project.
Tuleev explained that of the total grant amount, $70,000 will be allocated for the restoration of pastures, while the remaining $30,000 will be used for additional activities aimed at reducing the load on pastures. In particular, this may include the establishment of feed production workshops for livestock, which, in turn, will reduce the time livestock spend on pastures.
The department head also emphasized that the current state of pastures raises serious concerns. "Urgent measures for the restoration of pastures are necessary, and we are working on implementing projects in this direction through donors," he added.
