According to her, this event was organized in accordance with the presidential decree titled "Uluutuk dem — dyinölük biiktyk" ("National Spirit — Global Heights").
"This holiday, which has become traditional, is celebrated annually. This year it was dedicated to strengthening friendship among peoples, harmony and mutual understanding, as well as to glorifying the mother language," added N. Mekeshova.
As part of the celebration, exhibitions were held showcasing the lifestyle and culture of the ancient Kyrgyz people and their diasporas. The event also included a concert program aimed at promoting the mother language.
The exhibitions were organized by representatives of various nationalities.
- The International Mother Language Day was established by UNESCO in 1999 and has been celebrated worldwide since 2000 to protect and preserve languages.
