The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Moscow has summarized the results of 2025 in the field of migration control.

According to the information, the capital's law enforcement agencies regularly implement measures to strengthen law and order in the migration sphere. This includes monitoring migration flows, combating illegal migration, and identifying offenses among foreign citizens and stateless persons. Special attention is paid to individuals whose presence in the country may pose a threat to public safety, as well as those who are wanted.

During the reporting period, more than 82,000 migration offenses were recorded. Of these, 19,000 related to the illegal entry or stay of foreign citizens in the Russian Federation.

Additionally, about 9,000 violations were associated with the labor activities of migrants, and more than 6,000 cases involved the illegal employment of foreign citizens in the country.

The agency also reported conducting over 11,000 inspections of compliance with migration legislation in various public places in Moscow, such as shopping centers, restaurants, hostels, and construction sites. As a result of the inspections, decisions were made to expel more than 26,000 individuals, of whom about 18,000 were placed in the Temporary Detention Center for Foreign Citizens. Deportation affected 646 people.

Comprehensive measures allowed for the detention of 382 individuals who were wanted for committing various crimes, including serious ones. Additionally, 151 foreign citizens were identified who had changed their data for entry into the country, which had previously been closed due to offenses.

In connection with the new provisions of the Law "On Citizenship of the Russian Federation," a mechanism for the termination of citizenship has been implemented. Thus, decisions were made to revoke the citizenship of the Russian Federation for 51 individuals. Of these, 23 cases were related to serious crimes such as murder, kidnapping, sexual violence, illegal drug trafficking, and threats to national security.
