The Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration has provided clarifications on the process of granting maternity benefits.
According to the information from the department, the following individuals are entitled to receive benefits:
- women working under an employment contract;
- individual entrepreneurs;
- members of peasant (farm) households;
- women registered as officially unemployed and entitled to unemployment benefits.
To receive the benefits, a sick leave certificate issued by medical institutions is required.
Applications for benefits should be submitted depending on the category:
- working women — at their place of employment;
- individual entrepreneurs, members of farm households, and officially unemployed individuals — at the territorial departments of labor, social security, and migration.
To process and receive the benefits, the following documents must be provided:
- for working women — an application in any form and a sick leave certificate to the employer;
- for individual entrepreneurs, members of farm households, and officially unemployed individuals — an application for benefits in the established form and a PIN.
Additional information for granting benefits will be requested through the inter-agency electronic interaction system "Tunduk".
Regarding the amount and procedure for benefit payments:
- For working women, the first 10 working days are covered at 100% of their salary, and from the 11th day — 20 calculation indicators (2000 soms) per month from the republican budget.
- Individual entrepreneurs and members of farm households, as well as officially unemployed individuals entitled to unemployment benefits, will also receive 20 calculation indicators (2000 soms) from the 11th working day.
Starting January 1, 2024, the benefit will be determined based on 20 calculation indicators per month (2000 soms).
Women working in high-altitude and remote areas will receive 100% of their salary for all working days.
Benefit payments from the 11th working day will be made centrally through the ministry's subordinate divisions, with funds transferred to the recipients' transit accounts in banks (Eldik Bank, Aiyl Bank) upon presentation of the applicant's passport.
