In Karakol, on February 21, a festive evening was held dedicated to the International Mother Language Day, titled "The Wealth of the People is Their Native Language" (Эл байлыгы — эне тил).

The venue was the regional library named after Tugolbay Sydykbekov, where representatives of various nationalities living in the region, members of the Assembly of the People of Kyrgyzstan, students, schoolchildren, and library staff gathered.

During the event, each school presented its ethnic group, sharing information about their language, culture, and traditions. Participants delivered reports on the history of their languages, read proverbs, and performed poems and songs in their native languages. National games were also held as part of the "Kelgile oyono" ("Let's Play") block, where representatives of different nations showcased their traditional entertainments.

Students from the State Musical College named after Y. Tumanov also participated, performing Kyrgyz melodies and folk songs, demonstrating their talents.

As noted by Aibek Mayrykov, a representative of the Assembly of the People of Kyrgyzstan in the Issyk-Kul region, the main goal of the celebration was to strengthen interethnic harmony, to call for respect and preservation of the languages of all peoples, as well as to implement the concept of "Kyrgyz Jorany".

At the end of the evening, participants were presented with commemorative gifts — books.
