During the meeting, key issues regarding the reconstruction and humanitarian aid for the Gaza sector were discussed, as well as the need to ensure peace and stability in the region.
The head of Uzbekistan expressed his gratitude to Donald Trump for organizing the summit and emphasized that Uzbekistan is ready to actively participate in the peacekeeping initiative related to the establishment of the Council of Peace.

He noted that any mechanisms for governing Gaza should be based on the support of the local population. The president expressed confidence that the joint efforts of all participants would ensure a sustainable post-conflict process and create conditions for the rapid recovery of the region.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev confirmed Uzbekistan's readiness to make a significant contribution to the construction of residential houses, kindergartens, schools, and hospitals in the Gaza territory.
“This meeting symbolizes international solidarity, peacebuilding, and a common desire to improve the situation in the Middle East. We must seize this historic opportunity to create a new Gaza with a thriving economy and decent living conditions for its residents,” he stated.
As part of his working visit to Washington, Shavkat Mirziyoyev also held meetings with businessmen. During negotiations with U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Latnik, specific steps to strengthen the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the U.S., as well as opportunities for developing cooperation in key sectors, were discussed.
It was emphasized that the U.S. is one of Uzbekistan's main partners: the trade volume between the countries exceeds 1 billion dollars, and about 340 American companies operate in the country. The parties noted the importance of effectively utilizing the recently established Business Council and launching an investment platform to support priority projects.
Additionally, the Uzbek leader held meetings with the leadership of the Export-Import Bank of the United States and the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation to discuss further cooperation.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev invited representatives of the American side to participate in the Tashkent International Investment Forum and attended the signing of bilateral agreements and the presentation of joint projects. These agreements cover the construction of a network of gas stations, the implementation of sprinkler irrigation technologies, the extraction and supply of critically important minerals, the creation of a poultry cluster, the development of the agro-industrial complex and financial markets, as well as measures to improve the investment climate.
